Damola Awoyokun

Chartered structural engineer (CEng MICE) and historian. His engineering is built into the Elizabeth Line and London Bridge; he is the first Nigerian Chartered Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers since Herbert Macaulay in 1893. As an archival historian he has spent years inside declassified British and American files, with bylines across the British and Nigerian press. He reads a nation the way he reads a structure – by its load paths and its hidden joints.
